Hey Cap'n. You know this ocean looking place in Latvia is really kind of fun. There is a nice beach to explore, and plenty of playgrounds.
I like this playground we are on. Climbing the ropes reminds me of climbing the rigging on the Jolly Roger.
Now hold on. We all know you might be a pirate, but you were never on the Jolly Roger. Don't believe him. He is just trying to sound more important than he really is.
Anyway Spike, I did like climbing the rigging. And we made a new friend!
That's right. Our friend is Polara. She is fun to hang out with. She has also been to some really cool places. I mean, she has seen seen the Northern Lights.
This is a cool building along the beach in Jurmala. Like many places in Latvia, there is lots of colorful graffitti.
Personally Spike, I think these swans (which are referred to as spies by some people) are kind of interesting. Whoever heard of swans living in Salt water, though? THere were several pairs that we saw along that walk.
Yeah, yeah yeah......I look for more interesting things. Like this huge sand sculpture. As you went around it, there were different things to see. The detail is amazing. It is there because Easter is this weekend, and more people are starting to come and walk along the beach in Jurmala.
Anyway, Cap'n, the hike was long. It was 11 miles along the beach, and then into the woods. It was very pretty, and nice escape from the city. It was a good way to start Spring Break. This week we are heading out of the Rioga area on a road trip.
And Polara is coming with us! 😀
